Who I Am Today…
I’m known for helping leaders harness the power of emotional intelligence to lead with confidence, influence, and impact—while strategically leveraging Human Resources to drive business success.

I’ve spent 15,000+ hours completing my Doctorate in Business Administration.

I’ve built a 17+ year career as a Human Resources professional and consultant.

I became Chief HR Officer before launching my own leadership development consulting company Dale Reports.

I bought my first lake house in North Central Florida with my husband.

I published my first book, "Dale Reports: Emotions & You", and co-authored another “Women Living Fearlessly” with 24 powerhouse women.

I became a two-time Women Changing the World Award winner 2024 & 2025.

I was named an ICABA 100 Black Professional Making an Impact in 2024.

Sounds like a dream, right? But that wasn’t always my reality.

The Moment I Felt Powerless...

There I was— smiling through my fears, in a boardroom for the first time, surrounded by six directors and VPs. The room was cold, sterile, the air thick with tension.

💥 My heart was pounding so loudly, I was sure they could hear it.
💥 My palms were sweating, and my voice felt trapped in my throat.
💥 I was drowning in self-doubt, questioning why I was even in that room.

The truth? I was terrified.

At one point, I was just that fearful of speaking to people in power. I’d shrink in the presence of managers, directors, and executives—not because of them, but because of me.

I had convinced myself that I wasn’t worth their time, that my voice didn’t matter, that I didn’t belong.

Maybe it was the fault of those countless bosses that never empowered me to push beyond my comfort zone or maybe it was my past trauma experiences that did not help or maybe it was just me not knowing my true worth within.

I was showing up physically, but I wasn’t present mentally. I stayed quiet, avoided eye contact, and second-guessed everything I wanted to say.

I felt powerless.
And let me tell you—that was not sustainable!

The Shift: Learning to Lead With Emotional Intelligence

I knew I couldn’t keep going like this. If I wanted to lead, I had to stop running from myself.

So, I did the work.

I studied, I research, I learned from industry leaders on emotional intelligence—the key to building presence, confidence, and influence.

I developed leadership strategies that helped me take control of my emotions instead of letting them control me.

I practiced speaking up, even when my voice shook.

I stopped waiting for permission to be in the room. I owned my seat at the table.

The more I embraced emotional intelligence, the more everything changed.
